Peyton Manning sporting Mad Gringo’s famous “Hawaiian Sunset” Tropical shirt.
Yep, you heard it here first. After a successful Super Bowl last night, we were immediately able to hire the (former?) Denver Broncos quarterback to model and promote our unique line of Go Slow clothing. Surprised? Think about it – who wouldn’t want to rep a company that’s all about going slow and having a good time. Besides, Manning (apparently) has nothing better to do at the moment.
“I’m really looking forward to working with Mad Tom and Mad Evan,” Manning said in a press release, adding, “They are a couple of really cool guys with big ideas for the future of the company.”
We plan to start him off in the warehouse, sorting and bagging our latest shipment of Go Slow Gear. It’s always a good idea to get to know the business from the ground up. (Plus, I know I sure don’t want to do it!) We might even let him toss a few slippahs into size bins, just to keep the old arm limber.
If he does a good job, he can join Evan and me at the MG Tiki Bar for a beer. We’ll be keeping an eye on him from there. All day long.
Supervising the greenhorn can be tough duty, but someone has to do it.
In other news, we had to put our previous spokesmodel on waivers. It’s okay, he hasn’t been particularly active promoting the line for quite some time.
