Thanks so much for the shirts. I noticed the one shirt was out of stock and you substituted another (it was great!)

My wife didn't like the Leid in the Evening shirt, though... I was wondering if I could exchange it for another of the sale shirts? I was hoping for perhaps the Go Boldly Into That Luau in XL (the XL seemed to fit a little better anyway).

You are the first place I ordered clothing at that my wife likes. Keep up the good work.

Best wishes, Gregory

Woo Hoo, my box came today from you! I wondered why I got such a "big" box for a sundress but when I quickly tore it open I was soooo excited....you know how to spread the cheer!!! The sundress was even prettier than I expected and I know I'll love wearing it!! ...and I loved, loved the Mad Gringo packaging!! AND the extra surprise of the Go Slow Sign and Mad Gringo chapstick was AWESOME!! I hung the Go Slow sign on my wall until I get my tiki bar unveiled in the spring. The sign will have a place of honor in the tiki bar!! Thank you, thank you and thank you!!

Okay, so I'm hooked now! I was spreading the word about you at work tonight...and when I wear my gorgeous sundress I'll get to tell all about you guys there in Omaha, my dear ole hometown!! Great going! I'm already wondering what I can order next!

Thanks for making my St. Paddy's Day!

Aloha Mad Gringo! If only doing business with the rest of the world was as pleasant as it is with you folks, it would be a much happier place! Can't wait to receive my "Sand Angels" shirt! Why? I live 5 minutes away from Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota Fla. often judged to be the finest, whitest sand in the world. Scenario...My beautiful girlfriend, me, many shots of Patron, late night, Siesta beach, starry skies...we left behind some beautiful sand angels!!!! Hopefully when she sees my cool new shirt we will return immediately to "make some more"! Peace and Love Mad Bill

I just got my Mango Madness and Coral Salamanders shirts. They look great, and make me happy. That's pretty good, since I'm mostly grouchy and you are self-proclaimed mad. I threw them in the gentle cycle in cold for a wash, took 'em out, hung 'em up, and they dried all shrivelly-like (similar to poor George in the shrinkage episode of Seinfeld.) Anyway, what's the best way to have that not happen? Iron 'em? Run 'em over with my surfboard? Pay some other slob to do it for me at the dry cleaners? Any suggestions you could provide would be appreciated.

Mahalo.

Our shirts arrived today - and we love them! It's a big bummer we didn't have them for Saturday, but we'll still get plenty of use out of them. So, no need to refund my money.

I hope that whatever kinks caused the handful of problems with my order can be worked out and I do appreciate your attentiveness. You have a great product and great customer service.

I also appreciate you searching for department stores in our area that sold Hawaiian shirts. We were able to find a couple of just-okay ones at JC Penney. Yours seem like a much better shirt, though.

Kind regards,

Well Greg,

The shirts made it through an unbelievable trip. We left from Miami on on of those nasty cruise ships (I live in a tourist town and am genetically forced to not like them(but man what a way to ride!)) we stopped in Samana, Dominican Republic and played at a nice resort beach called Cay Laventado, from there it was on to Tortola, BVI, Antigua, Bridge Town, Barbados (Played at the Malibu Rum factory and at their beach all day) then we made a stop in St. Lucia. All these places fully understood the Go Slow attitude you promote. Your shirts received all kinds of accolades even when wore by a big funny looking guy. They are great and I am now forced to be a spokesman for your website! I'll see if I can get this thing to send a picture or two.

Thanks for all you did to get the shirts to me.

I hope your business thrives because it certainly deserves to. As you know I didn't like the style of one of the shirts I got from you and you restyled a new shirt and sent it to me free.

This is the stuff we all would like to see more of. I am glad to advise anyone to shop with you as I am sure they could not be disappointed. The fact that the shirts are the best I've ever had makes the whole thing even better.

So if you publish this just let me say to anyone who reads it. :- These are fantastic shirts that are even better in real life than they appear on the website and the service is way beyond good.

Cheers Gringo, good luck in the future.

Now comes my fear; I did not see a larger size to order and I MUST find one that fits for my pending trip. This shirt in my arsenal of relaxation clothing is now a requirement. PLEASE HELP ME GRINGO!

The shirts arrived today! Beautiful material feels like silk, not rayon. Fits perfectly, not like most XXL shirts which are too baggy in the waist and cut so long it looks like you have on a dress.

The picture of the shirt on your website doesn't do it justice, the colors and pattern are out of this world! I will definitely order more. The Mad Gringo sticker will go on my ukulele case ... maybe then people will stop thinking that I am carrying a violin.

I called UPS and told them to stop the trace but was told that the package I receiced today was a duplicate shipment and that the original order is still lost. I think you have to call off the trace from your end.

Dear Mad Gringo: My wife is old school and thinks all Hawaiian shirts should be tucked in. Of course I derailed her by asking her if it was acceptable to wear the collar flaps up if I were to tuck the shirttails in. Fortunately for now, the imagery of my suggestion has put this discussion off.

How do I get her with the program?

Aloha,

This recipe also works for turkey!

Here is a chicken recipe that also includes the use of popcorn as a stuffing - imagine that! When I found this recipe I thought it was perfect for people like me who just are not sure how to tell when poultry is thoroughly cooked but not dried out.
Give this a try.
BAKED STUFFED CHICKEN
6-7- lb chicken
1 cup butter
1 cup stuffing ( Pepperidge Farm is good)
1 cup uncooked popcorn (Orville Redenbachers Low Fat)
Salt & pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Brush chicken with melted butter, salt and pepper.
Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn.
Place in baking pan with the neck end toward the back of the oven.
Listen for popping sounds.
When the chicken's ass blows the oven door open and the chicken flies across the room, it is done.

Shirts arrived tonight. They look better in person than on thewebsite and fit just right. However my wife saw that they were 100% rayon and said she said she had a shirt made from rayon that after you washed required ironing or it would be a wrinkled mess. Please tell me these shirts don't need to be ironed - kinda seems against the Go Slow motto...

Thanks, Wray

Mad Gringo!!

If you only knew the reaction I got from your awesome shirt! I hail from Southern California originally and wearing a shirt like this wasn't out of the ordinary. Living here in Southern Texas, (North Mexico) more like it.. hahahaha.... is a bit odd.

Everybody loved it, I LOVE it.. Your shirts rock and I will be shopping with you again. The quality is outstanding, the print is cool.

I will send you a picture of me wearing it...

Best Regards,

Rick "Go Slow or Die" M. :)

I just received my first order from your company (I ordered 3 shirts for my husband) and I wanted to tell you how nice the shirts are!!! They are great and I also love the little bags they come in, plus the info tags that come on the shirts are great too!

I love innovative packaging and marketing stuff! cool!

If I had to chose another career (I've been a tattoo artist for over 20 years) I'd be a packaging designer.

We will definitely order again!

Thanks

We got there in the end. My order number came through.
I feel so fulfilled!

Thanks for your help. I hope we have paved the way for
lots more UK business for MadGringo.
And keep up the sunny thoughts, we've had no rain
today; the downside was 12 solid hours of tennis on
TV(Wimbledon)hmmmmm.

Fortunately I had far more interesting things to
absorb me.

Keep up the good work.

Dear Mad Gringo,

My 5 shirts are enclosed for return. Please credit my account for them plus the 6th shirt which was unavailable. I'm sorry the sizing was off and I will not be able to wear them. They are beautiful shirts. I am also grateful for the personal touch you've shown with this order. If you continue to treat all your customers (well, maybe the ones smaller than me). like you've treated me you will be a great success.

Sincerely,

Wiley

Hi

Just to say the shirts have just arrived, and exceeded all expectations - the look, the fit, and the feel of these garments are all fabulous. The Golden Fish shirt is especially fantastic, wasn't too sure about how I'd get on with it, but putting it on is like wearing pure sunshine even though it is a grey and rainy day here in Lancaster. As it happens my teenage sons do veer toward the Gothic at times, and like you I would wager that the wearer of such a shirt would gain the upper hand - indeed I am expecting the eldest back at any minute and am wearing the Golden Fish preemptively!!

Many thanks for the fine shirts, I'm sure to be back for more

Dear Mad,

The magic shirt arrived--it so far exceeds my expectations I don't know what to say...except thank you! I have not had the heart to tell my shirt about the Margarita vs. marguerita, but I'm sure we'll be able to handle the "let down" together.

I'll be ordering again soon, probably this coming week...I've FOUND MY SHIRTS!!!!!!

Many thanks!

The shirt - it is very nice! Wore it last evening and the members of my regular Thursday Night Martini Group comments that it was much easier to see me than formerly. Thanks for the excellent service and the genuinely neat packaging: such attention to detail is praiseworthy. Beach out - it's Friday.

Thanks again...Richard

I meant to get back to you sooner, but I received the shirts a week and a half ago. You were right, the pictures online did not do them justice.

These are the best looking aloha shirts I've ever seen. Only problem is my girlfriend telling me I've been spending way too much time in the hammock lately.

Another order soon to come. My friends will be contacting you soon to place orders as well. Hopefully if I refer some business to you, you'll offer me another great deal. Also, the bags the shirts come in are going to make great fishing reel bags for the off-season.

Thanks again!

Thanks so much MG!

They are a birthday gift for my gorgeous husband, who is not a skateboarder, but definately qualifies as "mad"---

These two shirts will make a grand total of 9, (yes, 9!) Mad Gringo shirts he owns...they are his favorites. I used to buy them for him at the place on Coast Hwy in Encinitas, but was so disappointed to see they closed.

Anyway, glad I found your website and I'll be ordering more as the holidays (or just days he needs a great gift!) roll around;

Take care;

Mad Mary

Dude ...

Myself and my two closest golf buddies are always looking for quality Hawaiian shirts. After the two shirts for me and one for the little woman arrived, I broke one out for a golf event and needless to say it was a huge hit! "Leid in the Afternoon" got rave reviews.

I am gladly passing along the website to my "twin brothers" from different Mother's". We look forward to much relaxation and going slow, even on the links, so if you get behind us, we'll let you play through...

P.S> Golf sandals and no socks go well with the Mad Gringo styles.....

Hi Mad Gringo:

I happened on your site yesterday and have spent way too much work time reading the descriptions and sending links to friends. Anyway...a bunch of us are going to see Jimmy Buffet (quite possibly the God of the Mad Gringos) next weekend (April 21st) and we need to get in the tropical spirit for the concert so we're looking at shirts and we're sold...the Mad Gringo is the way to go.

That said....my coconuts are kind of big and I was wondering what size you'd recommend for women...particularly ones with big coconuts because while a coconut mishap at the concert may be funny....like Janet Jackson...it may cause a national uproar....anyway...help with women's equivalent sizes would be great!!!

I am going to take the plunge and order one from the trunk. I really am an XL however, I am hopping the XXL will work. In the event it is "way out out there" - I will have to return it for an XL.

Somehow it doesn't seem that the "Mad Gringo" would be land locked in Omaha. But as they say (I'm sure) that's another story.

Hi Mad Gringo,

I got Lei'd for my birthday this afternoon thanks to you - and I don't even know you! THANKS! I absolutely love this shirt (Lei'd in the Afternoon, get it?). Made my day.

Good thinking, Gringo, you remembered my birthday. The Mad Gringo and me are "Birds of a Feather". Kewl, kewl, very kewl.

The whole scenario of getting this shirt from you was so fun I can't wait for my next birthday! How's that for a testimonial?

Thanks again, nice job.

The shirt is for the wedding. Tropical you know. No she isn't pregnant...shocking huh? Anyway thanks for expediting my order. You're a life saver.

YES THE SHIRT YOU SENT WAS THE BEST AT MY PARTY, I DID MAKE IT CLEAR TO ALL THAT CAME THAT HAWAIIAN SHIRTS WERE ESSENTIAL BUT ONE GUY THOUGHT IT WAS A HAWAIIAN THEME PARTY A TURNED UP AS A HULA GIRL....NOT A PRETTY SIGHT SEEING SOMEONE 6 FOOT FOUR WITH A HAIRY BACK WALKING AROUND IN A GRASS SHIRT AND A COCONUT BRA ON.

BUT ANYWAY YES I WOULD LIKE YOU TO SEND THE OTHER SHIRT THE PRICE IS OKAY.
